Google Puts Out Mapping Product for Handhelds

Google just announced today that it will be producing a mapping system for mobile phones that will allow users to look at traffic patterns in 30 American cities before planning their routes. Reportedly, the technology will be called Google Maps for Mobile, and can also be used to get driving directions and for storing favorite routes.

Apparently, the technology is set up to work on over 100 mobile devices. It can be downloaded directly onto your mobile phone. Check Google’s site for more info.

Like everything Google does, I expect this to be a hit.
