Know Your Satellite Radio Reciever Pt. 6: Sirius Xact XTR3CK Visor

Hello again, and welcome to part 6 in our series: Know Your Satellite Radio Receiver. Today we’ll be talking about the Xact XTR3CK Visor, a neat, if underwhelming, car device.

The Xact is a bare-bones model with one interesting feature, its visor-mounting ability. It’s thin, flat design and attached visor clip make it perfect for attaching to the your sun visor, out of the way. It looks sort of like a tiny, old-school cable box. You can also mount it on your dash or windshield (it comes with the kit to do so), but if you want a dash-mounted model then why would you get the Xact Visor?

On the down side, the Xact, like most portable models, needs to be powered by plugging into your cigarette lighter. So, yeah, the cord is going to be dangling down from your visor, which could get pretty annoying.

Also on the down side is the Xact’s lack of features. Unlike the Sportster Replay, it has no rewind/replay feature, and has only one line of display. That one line is easy to read, though, and there is some charm in its stripped down design. That charm may or may not be its low, $40 price tag.
