Howard Stern makes Sirius debut
Howard Stern made his Sirius radio debut this morning from 6am-10am PT. The show will be repeated throughout the day on Sirius channel Howard 100. While 90 minutes of the show was devoted to a press conference hosted by Stern, there were plenty of antics for Howard’s listeners. Highlights include the announcement that George Takei, Star Trek’s “Sulu” would be the new “Voice of Howard Stern” (Takei will be in the studio all week and will continue to appear on the show throughout ‘06), and, for the first time on the Howard Stern Show, the Pat O’brien sex voice mails played complete and uncensored.
As for swear words, Stern was spare with them, using them only where he would naturally in the course of his speech. Still, there were about 172 instances of federally banned words in the four hour show (but who’s counting?).
The show ran for its full time ad-free. However, ads will begin playing on Stern’s show tomorrow (about 6 minutes for every hour of content).

The new show is great, a lot less restrictions. You can tell the atmosphere is a lot looser. I have a whole new perspective on the Pat O’Brien tapes now that they can be played unedited. The only problem is for people who work in an office. I can’t get the show and you can’t listen to Howard yet through the Sirius website. I hope this is something they are working on, I spent the $$$ for a lifetime membership, I should be able to get it anywhere.

OMG… It is soo good to have him back. I felt like I was going through a horrible break up for a couple weeks.
I think the new show is great it was so nice to hear them talking like normal people. I tried to listen to David Lee Roth last week and I was ready to slit my wrists. He is horrible! I also cannot wait to be able to listen to Stern through the website. I heard that sirius may not put all the channels on there to cut down from people giving out their logins and listening for free. Can’t blame them really. At least we can listen to Stern all day.

howard stern sucks. he’s an over-rated, past his prime old ass that uses hair plugs, and he also claims other people rip him off so that he can, himself get anyway with ripping other radio shows off. His daughter is a whore too.. hoo hoo. It’s all about XM satellite radio and Opie and Anthony. DO NOT buy a sirius just because of Howie. He’s jewish too.

It’s a big world, gravy leg, and in it is room for all sorts, even Jews and fans of Howard Stern.

XM’s MLB,golf?? the sport is as boring as you and oprah!why not add a chess tournament channel so itll tuck you in for a goodnight sleep!! overall XM sure is boring, you Nazi!!
