Stern suspended for “allegedly” promoting Sirius
The shock Jock is expected to go back on the air Wednesday, he was recently suspended from the air waves due to a conflict of interests: He was hyping his upcoming switch to Sirius.
She wouldn’t call Stern’s absence a suspension and declined to comment further. Listeners will hear a compilation of Stern’s best shows on Tuesday, she said.
But Stern’s spokesman Matt Traub confirmed the shock jock had been suspended, adding: “This is an act of desperation by men who are losing their once-in-a-lifetime franchise.”
I can see why they’d be upset. But I can see why Stern would want to promote Sirius, too. Ah, censorship. Howard will be making the move to Sirius on January, 1 2006.
