Jailed fellons can no longer enjoy satellite television
This was just so great I couldn’t resist posting it:
Sheriff cancels jail’s satellite television
Associated Press
HAMILTON, Ohio - A sheriff who’s been cracking down on what he sees as luxuries enjoyed by inmates has banned satellite television from the Butler County jail.
Sheriff Richard K. Jones pulled the plug Tuesday on the satellite stations, leaving only seven broadcast stations on TVs in the 900-inmate jail.
Jones toughened conditions at the jail earlier this year when he implemented chain gangs for male inmates in May and female inmates in June. He also has ordered problem inmates be fed bland, meatloaf-like “Warden Burgers” instead of regular prison food.
The satellite TV cancelation is expected to save the jail about $1,300 a year, said Warden Capt. Bill Stump.
It’s good that they’re saving money now and everything, but you know what this means? At one point, these inmates HAD satellite television… I don’t even have satellite television!!!! What the crap? Hmm… I wonder if they had Dish Network or DirecTV? Maybe the jail shoud change it’s name to DISH State Penetentiary…
