DirecTV to Offer Free Previews of Fall Programming
For the first time in pay-tv history, DirecTV will offer its subscribers a sneak preview of fall programming from ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, UPN, The WB, HBO, and Showtime weeks before the season officially begins. Starting in early August and continuing through September, DirecTV channel 101 will feature a 30-minute preview from each of the networks, one a week for each network, free of charge to all residential customers. TiVo subscribers have the option of viewing the previews from their TiVo hard drives at their leisure throughout each week.
