Sirius to throw Elvis Radio Anniversary Celebration
Sirius is planning a celebration for the one-year anniversary of Elvis Radio, its all-Elvis radio channel, with a party at Graceland this weekend. Memphis Mayor Willie Herenton and Shelby County Mayor AC Wharton have declared Saturday “Elvis Radio Day,” in honor of the station which began broadcasting from Graceland on July 2nd, 2004. The celebration will feature a champagne toast, birthday cake, and free t-shirts, as well as interviews with musicians and actors who collaborated with Elvis.
