Sirius to Offer Korean and Chinese Content
Sirius Satellite Radio has partnered with MultiCultural Radio Broadcasting, Inc to bring the first Asian language satellite radio programming to Sirius, first with a Korean channel, then later a Chinese channel. MultiCultural, which already owns and operates 44 AM and FM radio stations in the U.S., will bring their expertise to Sirius to help create programming that will appeal to Asian-American listeners. The Korean channel, called Radio Korea USA, will provide a variety of Korean news, entertainment, and music programming, while the upcoming Chinese channel will offer similar content from China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
