Globalstar to Offer Faster Data Service
Globalstar announced yesterday the release of their new Express Data service, a subscription-based service that allows users to send e-mail, transfer files, and browse the Internet more efficiently over the Globalstar network, anywhere a Globalstar connection is available. The service is compatible with a variety of e-mail systems including POP3, SMTP, Yahoo, and Outlook, and will accelerate attachment transfers. Globalstar customers with higher-end plans can enjoy a free subscription to Express Data, while Timeline 30 customers will have to pay an additional $9.95.
